Adu was called to the Bar in 2018 and got admitted in 2019 in Johannesburg where she completed her pupillage. Adu was a Junior Associate member of the Bridge Group of Advocates before becoming a member of the Mpumalanga Society of Advocates.
Before coming to this bar, Adu completed her LLB from the University of Pretoria where she was an avid mooter. She is the winner of the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition proceeding to Washington DC at the invitation of the American Bar Association’s International Law section and the International Bar Association. She is also the winner of the 20th Annual All African Human Rights Moot Court Competition.
She completed competitive internships. One at the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Life’s law clinic at the Institute for International and Comparative law in Africa. She also completed an internship at the Centre for Human Right’s Litigation Unit at the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Law.
Adu was also invited to give a guest lecture at the University of Pretoria’s Department of Political Sciences and International Relations on ‘International Armed conflict and State creation’.
Adu is interested in public law, administrative law, and civil litigation.
