Adv. M.D Speelman holds a B.Ed. (UWC) and LLB (UNISA) degrees. While working towards the completion of his LLB degree he worked as a paralegal at Mashiteng- Speelman Attorneys Inc.
Where he developed a comprehensive skill set in legal research, legal drafting, contract drafting, report writing, case management, civil, motion and criminal procedures. As the firm among other areas of law, dealt extensively with local government, land claims and labour law matters, he also became very proficient in dealing with these areas of the law.
These skills were further enhanced when he underwent his in depth training as a pupil at the Mpumalanga Society of Advocates in 2024. He was called to the bar and established his own practice as legal counsel in 2025.
