Marcel holds a B.Com Law degree and LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg. Marcel did pupillage at the Pretoria Society of Advocates and was admitted as an Advocate on 25 February 2021 whereafter he joined the Pretoria Society of Advocates. He currently holds offices at Brooklyn Advocates Chambers in Pretoria.

Marcel is currently a member of both the Pretoria Society of Advocates and the Mpumalanga Society of Advocates. Marcel practices in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Middleburg and Mbombela.
