Mmaleya Ramabulana completed her LLB at the University of Venda in 2007.

She was a Legal Admin Officer at the Department of Justice Head Office in the Chief Finacial Officer, where she was responsible for contract management. She moved to the Child Maintenance section within the Department of Justice where she was responsible for court services in respect of child maintenance issues. She was an Assistant Director for National Register for Sexual offences and finally a Legal Researcher in the office of the Chief Family Advocate. She joined the Mpumalanga  Society of Advocates in 2019.
