Qualifications:

LLB (University of the North), LLM Corporate Law (Wits), H. Dip. Tax Law, Adv. Dip. Contracts Drafting and Interpretation (UJ), Post Graduate Dip. Finance and Financial Laws (University of London).

Experience

Talenta was called to the Bar in 2018 and was previously admitted as an attorney in 2005. He joined the Bar with over 10-year pre-bar experience. Talenta is a member of both the Mpumalanga Bar and Johannesburg Bar, Group One Chambers.

After admission as an attorney, he also worked as an in-house legal counsel for the Development Bank of Southern Africa: as a corporate and project finance lawyer negotiating funding and construction agreements for various infrastructure projects; Sasol: as a corporate, commercial and project finance lawyer; SARS – LBC Unit: as a tax legal advisor doing tax legal opinions, tax disputes resolution and committee member of both the Objections and Penalties & Interest Committee; Ombudsman for Banking Services: as an adjudicator dealing with banking and contractual disputes.
