Wisani was admitted as an advocate in 1997 and was called to the Bar in 1998, obtaining Silk status in April 2017.

Wisani studied law at the Natal University in Durban. He obtained BA Law, LLB and LLM degrees from the above institution. Having practiced in vast areas of law, he now specializes in Commercial, Labour and Procurement Law. He has acted as an arbitrator in commercial and labour disputes and as chairperson in internal disciplinary proceedings. He has had numerous acting stints in the Johannesburg, Pretoria and Mpumalanga divisions of the High Court of South Africa since 2013.He is a former member of the truth and Reconciliation Commission. He is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the Mpumalanga Bar Council, Deputy Chairperson of Duma Nokwe Group of Advocates and an Executive Member of Rixaka Forum and Kheto Nxumalo High Alumni.He served as Chairperson for CHG Board,Merseta Audit Committee Member and is currently serving on a number of Community and non-governmental organizations in various capacities.
