Zodwa obtained her BIuris, LLB from UNISA and was admitted as an Advocate in 2010. She completed her pupillage at the Johannesburg Society of Advocates (JSA) in 2010 and joined Pitje Chambers where she remained until her move to Mpumalanga.

She was the Secretary of the JSA from 2016 until her relocation to Mpumalanga Society of Advocates in 2017. She became the Treasurer of the Mpumalanga Bar from 2020 to 2024. She also served in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legal Practice Council for two terms.

She has acted as a Judge in the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court and is currently the Head of Pupillage training at the Mpumalanga Society of Advocates.

She has a general practice which focuses mainly on administrative law. She also has a special interest in land matters.
